Cool Wave Ice Cream Shoppe

47237 State Highway 12, Buxton | (252) 996-0635 | Facebook Page

In business for over 10 years, this ice cream shop is tucked away behind the main road in Buxton, but well worth the trip. They do not take credit cards, so make sure you bring cash. While they do not offer as many flavors as some of the others shops, the ice cream is delicious and the service is outstanding. There is limited parking, so if you are close enough to walk that is what we recommend.

This ice creamery stays open later than most due to the fact that they also have an 18 hole mini golf course. It is the perfect way to end your day on our Island!
